Food Lover's Tour of Puglia -
September 3-10, 2008!

Don't worry if you missed out on our Sicily trip, because we are planning to visit another food region of Italy in September. Pellston Market will host an insider's tour of Puglia where we will meet food producers, tour olive groves, enjoy fabulous cuisine, and more! Nancy will lead a one-week tour beginning in Brindisi on September 3, 2008. Details are in the works and we will post the pricing soon. Read the details.

A feature on Nancy and the Market appeared in February 2008 Traverse Magazine! In the same issue, you can see a picture of our beautiful handmade Chicken Pot Pies, featured in their list of Best Pot Pies in the north!

Events
Pellston Market will be part of the annual Morel Mushroom Festival in Boyne City on May 17th. We will feature Morel Mushroom Risotto.

Pellston Market was thrilled to be part of the 14th Annual Taste of Harbor Springs on September 22, 2007. We served our new Pulled Pork with Bourbon Barbecue Sauce and Asian Flavored Cole Slaw to many enthusiastic eaters. The Taste helps to raise money for the High School Culinary Program.

Howl At The Moon Gala on August 30, 2007 was a great event to raise money for the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society. Pellston Market was happy to provide food for this great cause.

Our Celebration of Italy on Thursday July 12, 2007 was a huge success with customers sampling our newest products imported from Italy. Gioacchino Passalacqua and olive oil producer Marta Lisi demonstrated cooking techniques and offered samples of 4 new olive oils, fine batch-produced pastas, estate grown and milled rices, extraodinary honey and chocolates, organically grown and handpacked vegetable delicacies, sauces for pasta, risottos and more!

The Gala Italian Dinner was a sellout and guests enjoyed dining under the tent after a hailstorm swept through. Valet parking with umbrellas to escort dinners into the tent kept everyone dry.
